Steve was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, lived for several years in the NY suburbs, and moved to the Atlanta area in 1994 with his wife, Beth, and children, Andrew and Allison. With an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Rochester, Steve worked for many years in corporate financial management before becoming a personal financial advisor at American Express Financial Advisors in 2002. He joined oXYGen Financial in 2008 soon after the firm was founded.
Steve earned the Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2006 after completing the CFP® Certification Education Program at Oglethorpe University. He received the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ designation from the College for Financial Planning in 2008. In October 2013, Steve was awarded the Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation by the American College of Financial Services.
While retirement income planning for Baby Boomers has become a primary focus of Steve’s practice, his finance background, extensive experience, methodical and deliberate approach, and easygoing nature is well suited to serving the wide-ranging needs of Gen X clients as well.
